✅people have sex for pleasure far more often than they do to conceive babies⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✅not all sex involves a penis entering a vagina⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✅raising babies is not a universal or default life goal⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✅not all young people are heterosexual⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✅young people deserve to understand their rights to sexual pleasure⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✅feeling fearful or unprepared should not be considered anticipated norms for sexual debuts or any sexual experiences thereafter⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Instead of anticipating pain or adverse outcomes with sex, young people should be equipped to recognize and cultivate pleasure within their sexual experiences. This helps them to be more confident and effective communicators, to understand the importance of consent, and be aware of what to do if a concern arises.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

When young people know facts, they lead with confidence instead of fear; they’re better prepared to make informed choices about their health, safety, and relationships; and, they’re more likely to reach out for the support they need when their actions are not rooted in shame.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Give youth the information and support you wish you had growing up, so they can live safer, more pleasurable experiences when they enter into sexual decision making.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
