Please tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m a sex worker and sex educator, which means I work with groups and individuals on identifying desires and boundaries. I love accompanying people on their journey of self-discovery, slowly uncovering their deepest desires and finding ways to make them come true. I especially love working with people from the lgbtq+ community, and identify as queer myself. And I won ‘Sex Worker of the Year’ at the Sexual Freedom Awards in 2017.
How did you get to doing this role?
I started working as an escort years ago, and discovered I have a knack for allowing people to be vulnerable. I really enjoy those moments of intimate authenticity and decided to specialise in this. I did courses in tantra, bdsm and sacred sexuality and started my own business. I now have a thriving business with a very varied client base, and I am loving it. I also work for the Dutch sex workers’ union PROUD.
You are hosting a workshop on Conscious Kink. Why did you decide to do this event?
Many people’s’ fantasies are in the area of kink: spanking, role play, rough body play, you name it. Bringing consciousness to this opens up a whole realm of things to explore. People often think kink is scary, while in reality it can be very beautiful, deep, full of emotion, or just a lot of fun.
What was your inspiration behind the event?
As a good friend of mine once said: “You do not get what you deserve, you get what you negotiate for”. I think it is very important that people, especially those of us socialised as women, get a better sense of all the things they like and dislike, and stronger skills in communicating about that. If we can ask for what we want, be clear about our boundaries, and gracious about hearing a ‘no’ every now and then our (sex) lives will become substantially better.
Can you give us a sneak peak into what to expect at this event?
We’ll be using a strong framework of consent to explore some exciting kinky things. What kind of sensations are possible, and which ones do you like? How do you ask for what you want? How do you handle a ‘no’? And a ‘yes’?
What would you like women to get out of this event?
A clearer idea of what you like and dislike, and how to communicate about that.
Finally, your one piece of advice for women on their sexuality?
Breathe, be curious, and be compassionate with yourself.

About FIERCE Skills with Rosie Heart: Self Discovery through Conscious Kink
“You know how it sometimes feels like your body is just there to carry your head around the world? How much time you spend thinking instead of feeling? I can fix that.”
Rosie Enorah Heart [Read here], 2017 Sex Worker of the Year, is a global authority on Conscious Kink, travelling the world to support groups and individuals on the journey to rediscover their true sexual selves. We are delighted to welcome her to 23 Paul Street for this hands-on, introductory workshop, where the only thing that’s off-limits is what you don’t want to do.
Discover how conscious kink can help you to expand your understanding of your own body, growing your confidence with lovers and play partners. Rediscover your subconscious patterns, your sexuality and, ultimately, yourself. With a strong focus on boundaries and consent, Rosie will guide us as we explore communication and play with different types of sensation.
Expand your sexuality. Grow your confidence. Empower your true erotic self.
